What a life! I mean 3 lives!
My life story in print or sitcom coming soon but here is a snapshot:
Carey is currently the Executive Director of HMTV Group in Jacksonville, Florida.
He is also a freelance televison director/producer with over 3000 live network TV credits.
He is in demand by major networks all over the world.
Goin started HMTV in 1986 with a camcorder and has built HMTV into a multi-million dollar, industry leading, television production company. Carey and HMTV has won over 75 awards and nominations in television production. Some of these TV events include the Olympics, Super Bowls, Final Fours, MLB, NBA, NFL and NCAA events in the sports realm. In the entertainment realm he has worked on DVD's and live concert videos with nearly every major artist around the world including Elvis, N'SYNC, Sting, Bob Dylan, Allman Brothers and hundreds more.
He is named to Who's Who in Entertainment. He has worked in network television for over 28 years. He also is an adjuct instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham teaching advertising and television. Prior to starting HMTV Group,Carey worked in a variety of management and individual contributor positions at companies including EWTN, where he was one of the founding employees, CVS, where he was managing partner, and Jefferson State, where he help start WJSR-FM.
Carey is a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning his Bachelors degree in Broadcasting. Carey was named "Outstanding Broadcasting Student" and "Broadcasting Alumuns of the Year" at UAB. Carey also earned his Masters in Communication Studies from UAB and is working toward completing a PhD. in communications.
Carey is a nationally featured speaker in the areas of HDTV, broadcasting and music videos for conferences suchs as NAB, "Grammy in the Schools," Infocomm, NRB, and various church conferences and forums.
Carey was born in Birmingham, Alabama and now resides in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He is single with no children. In his spare time Carey enjoys music, golf, horseback riding and the beach. He volunteers for organizations like Habitat for Humanity, UCP, Domestic violence organizations, Ad Federation, Meals on Wheels, Anniston Soup Bowl and Interfaith Ministries of Calhoun County. He also is a concert promoter for Christian events in the south. Carey is on the ministers staff at New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida.
